In today’s world, most businesses, either small or large, have logos, yet many people don’t understand why having them are so important. Customers are more apt to remember your company by your logo as it is easier to remember a company name by association with a picture. Think of any logo, BMW for example with the blue, white and metallic circle. Anyone who has ever heard or BMW, imediately thinks of the logo with the name. It’s all in the association of: Company name + Logo = customers remembering your company and services or products you offer.
It’s easy for people to forget business names, but adding a logo to go with your business name can make the worlds difference. Your logo may be all they have to judge you by, therefore it’s important to have a professional looking, easily recognisable logo.
Some pointers to consider when creating a logo:
- Your target market- Think about the kind of customer or group you are trying to reach. ProsperO’s approach to UCD is again of great importance in this stage of development.
- Try and create a logo that will set you apart from your competition. This will make the difference as to whether or not you will stand apart from larger companies as far as whose logo will be remembered.
- ProsperO has the right design software and background knowledge and experience to assist you in creating a successful logo. Again, research is critical as some design agencies create better work than others. Quality is key.
- Before registering your name it is a good idea to make sure you check to see if your name is close to another company’s or if you are using a name that is already taken
- Research, research, research! We can’t stress enough how important research is in creating a logo that will grab people’s attention (UCD). Without research you will not be able to define your market accurately and in turn create a logo that will reel your targeted audience in.
The bottom line here is that any business with a good logo is more apt to have a steady flow of customers than those who don’t.
This is how we do it:
Step 1: Conceptual designs (Normally 10)
Setp 2: Round 1 of changes by taking elements from Step 1
Step 3: Round 2 of changes by taking elements from Step 2
Step 4: Final design of logo
